The dragon views man as low level creatures who do not have the same capabilities as he does. Humans are "no higher faculties than memory and perception". (p.62). The dragon also believes man has a canny mind; he disapprovingly and even mockingly cackles, "Ah, man's cunning mind!" (p.71) Please check out the source link for this excerpt.
