    Illustrate how the author develops the theme of unique astuteness in the novel ‘God’s Without Men.’

    The novel presents a family of three, father, mother, and son, who go for a holiday to have fun in the desert. Unfortunately, while having fun in the desert, Raj mysteriously disappears and reappears. However, when Raj reappears, he is completely changed and thinks in extraordinary ways. The parents are surprised why their son is behaving and thinking uniquely, and they quickly conclude that there are mysterious powers in the desert. However, the desert remains an odd place where people meet to experience new thinking. Therefore, despite Raj being autistic, his visit to the desert sharpens his thinking.

    What denotes the desert’s transformative supremacy?

    The desert visited by Jaz's family is unique because it has a history of transforming lives. At first, Jaz and his wife are happy that they are going to have a good time. Unfortunately, as they get there, Raj gets lost. The event saddens Jaz and his wife, but they later learn that there has was taken by Coyote. Coyote is a symbol of desert power which gives individuals a high level of intelligence. When Raj appears, he is not the same again because he does think more diligently than before.

    How does the reader use the literary device personification in the book?

    The author starts by describing the Mojave Desert, which depicts the sense of sight to readers. The author goes ahead to notify readers that no one knows the secrets of the desert except the sand. In this case, the sand is given superhuman powers to know the secrets of the desert. Towards the end of the story, the reader acknowledges that, indeed Coyote's mythical powers are well understood by the sand because what people can do is the only speculation about the desert's transformative powers.
