Tim is Alice's younger brother. He is mentioned sporadically during the text, but for the most part, he is portrayed as someone Alice loves and worries about. One example of the difference in the way they are treated by their parents can be found on pg. 87. In this section, Tim has been put in charge of keeping an eye on Alice.... something she deeply resents. Sadly, Alice seems to be as angry at Tim, as she is at her mother, she even ponders "payback".... offering Tim candy laced with drugs. In essence, Alice's parents trust Tim, which in turn, places a barrier between the siblings.
