How did Claudia and Jamie became a team

Until claudia and jamie left on their adventure,they had lived their lives much like any other brother and sister, in seperate bedrooms,same house,different friends,and coming together at mealtimes,but seeing the world from very different perspectives.But something happened during their adventure;they became a team.Explain how the two became a team,giving examples of how they worked together and showing how their feelings toward each other changed.
