When do we learn that the stranger's full name is Victor Frankenstein? Why do you think Shelley withhold this information for so long?

We learn Victor's full name at the beginning of Chapter Five when he receives a letter from Elizabeth. In my opinion, Shelley waited so long to name him because it took away his identity and dehumanized him in the same way he would behave toward his creation.
