What do you think of Waltons question "what can stop the determined heart and resolved will of man?"

I'm not sure where Walton is according to your study guide. He could be on the ship in the arctic explaining about meeting Victor. His question is one of the running themes of the story. Both Victor and his creation show the determined heart and will of man. Much of it brings heartache and darkness. Man's will is often contrary to his own well being and that of society, still he perseveres. Man's curiosity is insatiable which, like Victor, is his tragic flaw.
