Evaluate the approach the creature takes to introduce himself to the DeLacey family. Would the creature have improved his chances of being accepted by the family if he had done anything differently? If so, what could have helped?

I really don't think anything would be different. The idea is that the DeLacey family, or any other family, would not be able to see beyond the creature's appearance: any connection he tries to make with people is futile.
