How was Victor's reaction to Clerval's death like his reaction when the creature was brought to life?

Both are similar in that Victor is horrified. It was his creation that was directly responsible for Clerval's death. In prison Victor becomes violently ill. The stress related illness was similar to what he experienced just after the creature was brought back to life.
