Elizabeth's speech in court hurt Justine, who is her employer since Justine is the servant. Justine was hurt because Elizabeth accuse her for killing William that fateful night because the evidence of the necklace beside her body was proof. The necklace belongs to William, and when his body was found the necklace was missing. Justine had been fateful to the family for ages, and knew that she wasn't the murder. But because of the lack of evidence she was mistrusted by Elizabeth, and had to take the consquence of being sentenced to death.
