Elixabeth is an optomist. She gives hope to both Henry and Victor. Elizabeth constantly represents the good in life despite all the darkness. She helps Victor through his darkest hours and encourages Henry to help him. One can also see both Victor and Elixzabeth as character foils. While Victor is self-centered and obsessive, Elizabeth is kind and understanding. Elizabeth thinks of others blaming herself for the death of William rather than the servant.
