It's happening already. Genetic engineering, cryonics, cloning, stem cell research. These technologies open up moral and ethical questions we have never faced before. Even test-tube conception and freezing sperm have brought up ethical dilemmas. What happens to frozen embryos after their parents decide that their family is complete? If a widow uses her late husband's frozen sperm to create a baby, is that child entitled to Social Security benefits since his/her father is dead?
