The monster has been left to languish. Eliminate care and affection from a human life.... and he was alive, and you have someone or something unable to understand the value of life. The monster has begen cast off.... isolated..... and he becomes angry and resentful. He's been brought into a world where he can never be accepted.... not even by his own creator.

Victor is responsible for his own obsession and ultimate isolation from the people he loved. His journey away from those people began with the all encompassing goal of creating a life that once produced..... he found repulsive. He turned his back on his creation, he was responsible for the monster's anger, and he refused to face his own actions head on..... he simply ran away.
