At one point the creature says: "Of what a strange nature is knowledge! It clings to the mind when it has one seized on it like a lichen on the rock." Defend or challenge the Creatures description of knowledge?

The monster gains knowledge without experience. He doesn't know what the emotions he feels portend, only that he doesn't belong and doesn't understand. This frightens him.
