Founding Brothers

Why is the book titled "Founding Brothers" instead of "Founding Fathers"?

The founders of America are usually called the Founding Fathers, but Ellis titled his book "Founding Brothers", why?

These great men are known as the "founding fathers" of our country..... the men who fought for a democracy and created an atmosphere in which our fledgling country could survive and flourish. None-the-less, these men were brothers who worked toward a common goal. They worked together, argued, and planned like family..... arguments and all.
