I'm not sure what you mean...... Hemmingway creates heroes, but he also portrays them as purely 'human' beings. He doesn't destroy them, but he doesn't sugarcoat their movements or exalt them either. His characters have all the traits of people you meet on the street. Their actions are heroic, their motive may also be heroic, but no one is the perfect textbook hero..... those heroes only live in fairy tales.
