Why is the Police Commisioner character being specified as "Police Commissioner of Seattle"? The film never names a city and the book is set in Wimington, Deleware.

This is because the narrator travels for his job. As he goes around the country he meets men in bars who have bruises, cuts, and stitches. One of his stops is in Seattle, which is why the Seattle Police Commissioner is mentioned.
