Why might Rose tell Cory that he has Troy Maxon in him?

Rose says these words to Cory when he refuses to attend his father's funeral. She's alluding to the ways he is like his father..... he's stubborn, hard, unforgiving, and sometimes self-centered. These are the traits that keep him from forgiving his dad..... and his mother calls him on it.
