how did troy character change throughout the play

Troy is a tragic-hero. He begins the story taking excessive pride in his role as breadwinner. Troy brings about his own demise by inflicting his wounded soul on his family. He eventually dies even more disillusioned and impotent than he was at the beginning of the play.
