What happens to Jeanne and Radine’s friendship when they go the Long Beach Polytechnic?

When the girls got to high school they took different paths. Radine joined a sorority; Jeanne wasn't and wouldn't be asked. The boys would flirt with her, but they would not ask her out. Radine became a song girl; Jeanne couldn't compete for the band because she was Asian. Different groups meant different friends..... they grew apart.
