Clarisse is different than anyone Montag has ever known. She loves nature, reading, and observing life. Her family doesn't live for the parlour walls.... they actually eat together, have family discussions, and genuinely take the time to talk because they care. Montag doesn't understand this bond between family members because he has never experienced it.... Clarisse's family is a mystery to him, but their lifestyle has him curious because it appeals to him.
