What action has Mildred taken, and what does this show about her values? What do you think she means when she says that "everything's gone now"?

Montag is upset and angry with Mildred when she is coming out of the house. The reason he is upset is because she comes out saying, " Poor family,poor family, oh everything gone, everything,everything gone now..." (116).Mildred is lamenting the end of her family even though they have no kids. "Mildred, you didn't put in the alarm!" (116).
