Throughout the story, Montag changes as a response to the people he meets and the things they introduce him to. Clarisse, for example, poses questions Montag is unable to answer...... she makes him think. Faber teaches Montag; he answers the questions and sparks curiosity. Thus, Montag changes as a result of his own awakening. People have sparked his curiosity, and books have opened his mind to a whole new world.
