Are there any circumstances where censorship might play a beneificial role in society? Are there some books that should be banned?

In my opinion, no books should ever be banned. That isn't to say I don't believe there are books that have done a lot of damage over the years..... that's to say there is something to learn in everything, even if it's only to learn the book and purpose of the author were wrong. It is our job as thinking, reasoning human beings to research, verify, and double check the things we question.
