Fahrenheit 451

At the beginning of the novel, Bradbury includes an opening quotation, or epigraph, by the Spanish poet Juan Ramon limenez. In what way is this quotation related to a conflict in the novel? In what way does it relate to one of the novel's themes?

Bradbury uses Juan Ramon Jimenez' motto to set the novel's tone. It relates to the conflict in that it supports non-conformity and individual rebellion. Thus, it sets the mood and supports Montag's unorthodox behavior.
