2. What is significant about Montag knowing that “Clarisse had walked [on the track] where he was walking now” (p.138)?

The tracks reflect a path to freedom and enlightenment. Clarrise was Montag's first exposure to this freedom. She lit the spark in Montag that lead to his gurning desire for truth and chanfe. (note all the fire elements in my answer!)
