1. How is war portrayed in this novel? what is the war experience like for the people in this society.

The one real mention of war comes when the women chat about it at Montag;s home. They don't seem at all bothered about an impending declaration and speak of it as if it doesn't really matter. This attitude cements the feeling we get that the people care about nothing outside of their own little worlds, worlds which have in fact been created for them.
