The order in which Everyman seeks help is significant because it parallels aging. For example, Everyman meets with Beauty early on, but Wisdom comes around far later. Another example can be found in Everyman's material interested, something of ultimate importance when he is a young man (fine clothing, ect.), as opposed to the spiritual rather than the physical as the play progresses.
