from whose point of view is Everyday Use" told? What does the story gain from being told from this point of view instead of, say, from the point of view of Dee( Wangero)

The story is told first person point of view. Mama is the narrator and she is a hard working pragmatic lady. It does not take long for the reader to acknowledge that Mama is a both sympathetic and reliable narrator. Mama's narrative gives us a thoughtful look into the dynamics of race, power, and culture in her family.
