Esperanza doesn't know how to work..... she's never had to take care of or clean anything. In the end, Isabel has to instruct her in how to clean, wash diapers, and even how to use a broom. Note, Isabel is only eight..... Esperanza is humiliated. This "hurt" is different than the hurt suffered by the others because it's emotional, rather than physical.
