Why are Graff and Anderson worried about ended at the beginning of the chapter

In the beginning of Chapter 6, Graff and Anderson are worried about Ender's obsession with the Giant's Drink game. They are concerned because Pinual, a former student in the battle school, became obsessed with the game to the breaking point.... at which, he killed himself.
