Ender's Game

What does Ender mean when he says, “I’m your tool, and what difference does it make if I hate the part of me that you most need? What difference does it make that when the little serpents kill me in the game, I agree with them, and was glad.”

Ender is pretty frustrated at this point. He knows he is only valuable as a tool to the government. He feels nobody really cares about him other than for what he can do in battle. If he were dead, they would just find another child war prodigy.
