Ceres

A Pre-Roman Goddess of agriculture.

Persephone

A Greek goddess, also called Cora, the goddess of the underworld. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the harvest goddess.

Crackling

Making sharp noises.

Blighted

Infected, Spoilt, Disrupted. (Adjective).

Buddleia

A shrub with fragrant flowers, commonly called the Butterfly-Bush.

Rift

Crack, Fissure, Fracture.

Defer

Postpone, Put off (Verb).

Diminish

Decrease, Deprecate, Decline (Verb).

Bardic

Related to a Bard, a poet-narrator common to the medieval British or Gaelic cultures.

Gaelic

Celtic, particularly related to the Goidelic group of Celtic languages.

Frail

Infirm, Weak, Delicate, Feeble. (Adjective).

Firmament

The sky, The Heavens.

Harbour

Port, Dock, Haven, a place where ships come ashore.

Promenade

A paved public walkway.
