why mught Stoker have chosen to narrate the story? do letters and journal entries make the story seem more authentic or believable to you?

dracula relies on journal fragments, letters and newspaper clippings to tell its story.

My favorite part of Dracula is the way it's written. The journal entries in particular have a way of endearing the characters to the reader. We can see their strength and weaknesses in the way they write. Stoker wrote this novel in such a way that it's impossible not to feel and empathy for those impacted by Dracula's existence.
