How did the old woman react when she thought Mr Hyde was in trouble with the police? What does this tell you about her character?

She had an expression of slightly evil joy when she heard Hyde was in trouble with the police, "

A flash of odious joy appeared upon the woman's face. "Ah!" said she, "he is in trouble! What has he done?"

This tells us that she didn't like Hyde and that she was rather odious herself, "She had an evil face, smoothed by hypocrisy: but her manners were excellent."
