Jekyll had the demeanour and rather frail stature of an academic. He was seen as an unimposing man who lacked assertiveness even within the genteel confines of Victorian society. Mr. Hyde was everything that Jekyll was not. He was a short thick stocky man. His looks were far from delicate. Jekyll looked like an angry old twisted man. Jekyll acted as rudely and aggressively as he felt.
