I don't pity Faustus. He is falling for Mephostophilis' simple explanations of Heaven and Hell. Despite the warnings of the Good Angel Faustus is easily distracted by the entertainment Lucifer provides for him. To entertain him, Lucifer parades the Seven Deadly Sins before him. Faustus is delighted. I think I feel more scared for Faustus than pathos.
