Explain how he delivers his case to the audience?
It is obvious that the audience for this poem is a group of young ladies (virgins). It the poem, Herrick urges the girls to make the most of their time, live their lives, get married, have children, and build families. He makes his point by focusing on how quickly time passes, and he notes how easy it is to miss an opportunity. Youth is compared to the first bloom of a flowers..... aging to the withing of petals that quickly die. I think he makes his point well by using imagery from nature.
