The activities make use of several databases available online, including rhetorical analysis aides and databases of Donne's sermons. Teachers can focus on teaching students the differences between using digital databases of Donne's poems and edited print editions. Students can compare the same Donne poem, even from the same print edition and editor, with different digital annotations and metadata at different sites.

The discussions that students engage in throughout the unit can be brought beyond your own classroom with a blog or discussion forum open to other classrooms you may know who are studying Donne or 17th century England more generally.
