Did Rachael take advantage of Deckard, or did Deckard take advantage of her?
This is a complex question, and in part relies on who you interpret to hold power in the situation. Deckard certainly seems to believe that Rachael took advantage of him: she tried to instill him with empathy for androids, so he'd be unable to kill the other Nexus-Sixes, and he views this as a cruel deception. But considered from Rachael's perspective, her actions are a clever and desperate recourse to save others of her kind, at least one of which she herself has empathy for.
Deckard says that androids are not alive legally, but they are alive organically. What is the distinction?
