The Abnegation faction is made up of selfless people, who put others first, a very important trait for those running the government. Abegnation members believe in peaceful measures above all others, another fact that supports their rule in government. Leaders are chosen carefully from within the faction, as selflessness is conducive to an incorruptible government.
