Dave Singleman was a legend, and Willy believed he could emulate the man and share his success. His admiration may be well-founded..... after all, the man was successful. None-the-less, Willy's own success was dependant upon his ability to adapt and transition into new methods of sales. He believed that Dave Singleman's techniques and ability to charm his buyers was the end all of salesmanship. He could never look far enough ahead to see that even Singleman would have had to learn new techniques in the new marketplace.
