Willy certainly wasn't the best of husbands He was a good provider, but he also had affairs with other women while on the road.

Linda treats her husband with respect and deference. She embraced her role as wife and mother, and she stood by her husband to the end. Aged beyond her years, Linda was the family's moral center. She cared for Willy, supported him, and attempted to help him when his illness and hallucinations made themselves apparent.
