Bill Oliver is an old supervisor for whom Biff, Willy's son, used to work for. Bill serves as part of Willy's delusions of grandeur. Willy thinks he was Bill's best employee, almost a business partner. Willy thinks that Bill will loan Biff $10000 to start a business. Bill is really a character that facilitates an example of one of Willy's illusions of the American Dream. Biff reflects that when Bill didn't even remember Willy when he saw him.
