I have a research paper due in about a week. 6 pages. and I don't even know where to start. I can pick anything from "Death of a Salesman", anything conflicty and interesting. But it has to be something to write at least 6 pages on.
Starting is the hardest part for me. I just need help with some good ideas and a thesis. Please anyone?

You could always write about the Capitalism and Materialism featured.. Like Willy is very materialistic and encourages his boys to be(this brings up the questionable methods of his parenting which is another point to make) and about Willy's brother, the Chevrolet (if thats how you spell it- it's been a while since I've done it) and how he no longer has that, he has a worse car it shows the downfall of Willy Loman. A lot of the characters show the Capitalist theme. I don't actually remeber who it was but someone had a tape recorder and keeps mentioning his maid (Willy's old boss' son?) This is a good point to make as it shows how the old and weak are being taken over by the young and the strong.Write it about the success, then you could bring in loads of differnt aspects. You could also compare and contrast Willy as a man with his neighbour and friend- parenting/jobs/kids/homelife/success/nature. I hope I have helped a little bit- as I say it's been a while since I've done it!
