Neil Perry has a zeal for the stage, something his father disapproves of, but something he does regardless. His zeal is accompanied by talent, which is evident in his audition and casting as the character of Puck in Midsummer Night's Dream. Neil is fabulous in the play. Unfortunately, Neil's father's disapproval is greater than anyone knew. He dragged his son from the auditorium, humiliating Neil in front of everyone.
