What is Raskolnikov's reaction to Sonya being a prostitute?

Raskolnikov meets Marmeladov, a filthy dirty creature at the bar. He finds out that he allows his daughter to be a prostitute to feed the family. Marmeladov steals her money to by alcohol. Raskolnikov feels sympathy for both Sonya and this pathetic creature Marmeladov.
