Primer for Blacks by Gwendolyn Brooks (Poem)

Whom do you think the speaker is addressing at the end of the poem, and how do you think they are meant to feel?

THe speaker is addresses all people of colour. The very last stanza addresses blacks in particular,

ALL of you-

you proper Blacks,

you half-Blacks,

you wish-I-weren’t Blacks,

Niggeroes and Niggerenes.

The Speaker is trying to install a sense of unity and pride. The speaker acknowledges that blacks have been conditioned to feel inferior to whites but they need to unite and see the beauty in themselves.
