How did Adeline become Class President? Give details of the election.

On the day before the election, Adeline is worried about getting home on time so she hurries her final candidate speech in favor of Chun-mei, "She doesn't know this, but I think she should be the candidate instead of me." The next day Adeline is suprised when her name is called for being the winner of class president.
