Capital: Critique of Political Economy Summary

Capital: Critique of Political Economy Summary

There is no perhaps work of literature that has so extensively talked about the existence of a capitalist economy. This work by Karl Marx transcends boundaries and falls under a number of fields, ranging from economics to history. While this text covers a range of ideas, these ideas are centered on the idea and functioning of capitalism in the society. This work is heavily ideological and explores capitalism from a single angle, looking at the follies of capitalism. Through his writing, Karl Marx attempts to expose how the working class is heavily exploited in the capitalist system.

In this treatise, Karl Marx condemns the idea of the profit motive. He explains technically how the existence of such a concept invariably leads to the exploitation of the labour class in the society.
