How does the film adaptation compare to the novel?

I have read the first 3 chapters (months) of the novel, Bridget Jones Diary and I need to know how the film adaptation compares to the novel. I need to think about the characters, language, setting etc. Please help I have this assignment due in 2 days and I'm really struggling with this question.
